Lol, I forgot I was on the giving end of that too. No problem.
Mark, my engine doesnt get hot, high of maybe 225.
But I changed over from bully dog about three months or so ago. I ran Edge in our other truck, and like its features alot better. However, just as soon as I made the swap, my Egt's were off the hook. The same pass I can make with the bully dog at 60-65 and 1400, I was 55 on stock setting still over 1550!! I thought surely it was wrong, and we talked with the dealer about it. We all knew something was up, but I kept driving like usual. I have drove alot of passes with it defueled the entire time, and still over 1500 degree's. Now, its wasnt until this weekend that I noticed the boost was falling off. So I dont know what it is at this time. A bad Attitude, box, turbo, engine, seat warmer, who knows......
What I do know, is that it does not pull consistent. And that there is an issue. I am not comfortable taking in my truck to the dealer for warranty if what has happened is my fault. So I will do some more reasearch, and if its looks like its mechanical, I guess I'll fix it. I would rather trade it in then fix it though.......

I think Jed and I need to pull bigger trailers!
Fueled up at Home (Safeway) then at Harmon Junction. Wasn't the fuel!
Wow Jed. . . that's still a HOT program. I would love to turn my de-fuel temp up to 1400 but, I think that may be pushing it for my engine??? Not sure I would gain anything really. Guess I could set the alarm at 1350 then the de-fuel at 1400 and give it a shot on a short grade and see what happens.

Toyota pulling a 39' Weekend Warrior!
Btw, I got such good mileage coming home, my average for the whole trip was 20.8. That means I averaged about 22 coming home. My fuel cost round trip was $176 for just under 1200 miles.
Gotta love the cummins!

If Toyota came onto the scene with a 1 ton diesel I would have to take a very serious look at it. Ford truck guy at heart but when we're talking the amounts of money that these trucks cost I would believe that we all want the best that money can buy.
If the brand name is good enough for Tony Stewart it's good enough for me.

Man I am amazed that you can run your egts that high. With the ford 6.0 if you run it at 1350 for to long it will actually melt the pistons and really mess things up...I have my Edge set to defeul around 1300 and I have only hit that once or twice. Mark how hot did your truck get? I usually run in the 220s but this time home I was in the 240s with gage lights coming on..

Hey Crash, I can tell you from personal experience that your truck can handle 1325 Dang Ashland at 70mph pulling our trailer and all the bikes can really put the load on........
