Default R1 install in a 01 Rapter

Have a 01 Rapter 660r and I would like to install a 07 R1 motor. I have seen a few post on COMPLETED bikes, but need to get all the inside info, do's and don'ts and all the stuff. Any help would be great.

There is a guy by the name of quadbart on this forum that has done a conversion on that frame.

I have experience with the R1 motor but not the old 660 chassis.

These conversions are big projects. Don't underestimate the cost of the details.

Quadbart said his only cost about $4k to build. I don't know anyone else who can do it for that so it sounds like he might be your guy.

Yes sir, its still here. Im heading down to Little Sahara Oklahoma on the 15th of November with it. Quadbarts bringing his turbo 1000 raptor along also. Another friend is bringing his gsxr 600 custom along. We built that for him last winter from scratch. He is also the one that bought my dsxr750 machine last year. Im pretty sure hes bringing both. I know its kind of late in the year for a trip, but its my last oportunity for a ride until spring. Hopefully the sand will be smooth enough to run a wheele bar for a few passes on the busa. Its impossible to race that machine all out without it. If you can keep the front down at half throttle, your doing great.
