I need a right rim/wheel for the DS650 Baja model (4/143 - 9x9). I've seached eBay, can't find anyone selling one or a pair. I'd prefer not to go with the ITP T9 because there's no bead lock, only a flair style. We ride rocky trails at times and know ITP or Douglas will dent fairly easy due to the flair. I may have to order new from the dealer. Not many options for the DS650 when it comes to rim/wheel combinations. If anyone know of other options I'd apprecate a reply.

Where have all the DS'ers gone over the years? No doubt you ride this machine and it kicks a$$. Every friend of mine with a Yammy who hops on and takes it for a ride always, and I mean always comments on the ride and power. I'm now reading about these bikes going for 4k new, used between 1.5 and 2.5k. Looks like eBay is the way to part these machines out for maximum value. New X style bead-lock rims from the dealer are 146.99. Looks like I'll be going in that direction if I don't find other options soon. If I find a new DS650 for 4k, my oldest daughter will have one to ride.

 

i have bent all 4 of my stock X rims. all on the inside beads, we ride a lot of rocky trails. i think ITP makes a .190 wheel thathas a reinforcing ring on the inside * outside but not positive. you may also want ot check bikebandit.com for a set or one whell. they have pretty good prices. of corse you know there is no such thing as an unbendable wheel. i have to agree with you on the stupid pricing of the MIGHTY DS. it told my wife if i could find a new one for as cheap as i am hearing i would buy one just to have as a spare.

 

i too love the ds. I'm the olny one that has one around here. That could be because i live in kentucky and there is no sand around here. I admit it is kinda outta place but i wouldn't trade it, It kicks a$$.

I SENT THIS LAST NITE ON HAVING A SET I GOT THIS DS A MONTH AGO GOT A SET OF AFTER MARKET ON BIKE WHEN PICKING IT UP HE HANDED ME A SET OF STOCK RIMS WITH TIRES ON THEM I PUT THEM ON TRAILER AND CAME HOME THREW THEM IN GARAGE NOTICE THE TIRES WERE JUNK FRONT SIDE LOOKS GOOD NO SCRAPS GOOD TO GO WENT TO TAKE PICS AND POST THEM FLIPPED THEM OVER AND THEY ARE DING REALLY GOOD ? U MAYB ABLE TO CUT HUBS DOWN AND RUN A STOCK SET OF KFX 450 TO PUT THE SUPPORT TO THE BACK SIDE OF THE RIM MUST B THE ISSUE WITH THE WEGHT OF THE BIKE! IF IT SEEMS THESE RIMS ARE DINTING GOOD THE BIKE I GOT CAME FROM GREAT BEND KS AND HE HAD NEVER SAID ANY THING ABOUT RIDING IN ROCKY AREAS JUST JUMPING IT.

 

look at the ITP T9 BAJA wheels. they have a bead reinforcement on the inner & outer. bent one of mine pretty good yesterday ... still holds air but may need to replace. the T9 bajas will not work up front. maybe use the standard T9 up there.

in 2022 where do y'all buy rims ? i check ebay amazon check all place on internet but i can't find nothing.
notice that i'm from canada so some place don't do delivery at my place... i call my dealer for some balljoint and it's BO so i don't imagine for the rims... thanks
