Default NEED HELP PLEASE DS90 starting issues

Hey guys. I just bought my son a DS90 (5 hours on a 2005)and put a new battery in it. It fired right up 2 times in a row with the electric start button. Well I got to the desert to ride and it didnt fire up wit the electric start at all. I had to kick start it. It didnt even try to start up.

What do you think it is?

Any help please.

Is it the starter relay?

The starter button dirty?

HELP

Hmmm. Thats a tough question! Did you check the spark plug? Clean it?

It actually starts with the kick start on the first kick, but the electric start has nothing. The battery is fully charged up.

I would check the ignition wires. Make sure they haven't came unplugged. Or check the wires to the starter. I don't have one of these so I don't know if they have a neutral light. If they do, does it light up with the key on? I have a ds650, and I know extra ground cables solve problems, but yours sounds like something minor.

Thanks, Its fully auto, so it doesnt have the neutral light. I will check the cables and wires for sure. It sounds super simple, but a big headache. It doesnt stop my son from riding though. I would just like him to be able to start it.

It was sitting in a shed for a couple of years(since 2005), so it might be a dirty connection somewhere. It looks brand new though.

do it make any noises at all when you push in the start button? Clicking? If not you should be able to cross the starter contacts with a screwdriver and see if it will start that way. If it starts, then you know that it is in the start switch/wiring. Or could be the solenoid.

It doesnt make any sound at all.

I'll try the jump first then go from there.

Good ideas I'm getting.

I really think it may be the strarter relay.
