Rejet my 07 ds650x?

Question Rejet my 07 ds650x?

OK GUYS I HAVE A QUESTION THAT IM NOT SURE OF, I RECENTLY INSTALLED A BASIC K&N FILTER THAT GOES INSIDE THE AIRBOX,AND ALSO DRILLED 5 ONE INCH HOLES ON THE AIRBOX COVER,IS THIS SOMETHING THAT REQUIRES ME TO REJET MY CARB FOR THOSE ULTRA MINI MODS? LOL PLEASE REPLY SORRY THIS ? MIGHT SOUND LAME TO SOME OF U BUT I REALLY DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT THIS TOPIC!

NO rejet necessary. THe stock airfilter on the DS flows about the same as a K&N. YOu probably won't need to rejet until you open up the exhaust.

You will need to re-jet with a K&N and holes drilled in the air box. You probably will want to increase you main jet size up 1 or 2 sizes and move you needle and clip - it all depends on where you ride (elevation).

i dont know what to do some ppl say yes some ppl say no i usually ride in gorman ca.

right at the beginnig of the thread!!
there is everything you need to know about ds jetting!
You dont have to rejet for Gorman!

The ds650 carb will not work correctly or anywhere near its full potential if you cut holes in your airbox...you need to modify your carb to gain that otherwise your basically giving yourself more noise but no power. Either take off your airbox completely and rejet according along with drilling out the slide and modifing your vacume tube to your airbox or leave the stock airbox alone...that will get you the best power imo. Search for oldmanracings carb mods he says it all in there time and time again and its proven....
