I wasn't even aware that CanAm made a 3 wheeler. I knew Polaris, Honda, and Suzuki did. The only CanAm 3 wheeler I know about is the Spyder.

I don't believe Can-am ever made an old school three wheeler. Maybe you saw a pic of someone who took an old 70's Can-am dirt bike and fabbed up a rear axle converting it to a three wheeler.

Factory race trike, based off a can-am dirt bike.

Hell I'd like to see that man.

Only trikes I've ever known of are the hondas, yamaha tri-z, kawi tecate (prior to the 4-wheel version), and short lived rarely seen polaris.

I forgot, there is also a company called Tiger that made 3 wheelers in the 80's, for race. They had Rotax engines in them. Don't know if they had a can-am affiliation though, might try researching that avenue.

http://www.3wheelerworld.com/oldsite/tiger.shtml

read all this page, can-am didn't make tiger, but rotax made their engines so can-am has all the motor info and parts still available today.

but this must be what you are talking about...

I don't ever remember hearing of a Can-AM, but I was only getting into it the last few years for trike production. There were always rumors of Cagiva making some racers, and I have foggy memories of a few making it into consumer hands?
