A well built 440 should not just "fall apart". There is a guy from around here that has a Sparks 440. If I am not mistaken he can beat Bigdaddy650's DS. Which would not be a slow DS either.

just a 440 kit is not going to add sqawt ...you need to do porting add a cam and change to a 40mm carb or have yours moddified ..in the relibility factor you need to change the stock rod weld and true the crank ..hard face the cam and rockers add the heavey duty cam chain ..Im planning on selling my 2001 ds650 and building or buying a 250r for woods racing my plans are to run the new psi motor in that ...I got to ride one and was very impressed with the power ...if any one has a 250r with a lagers or similar aftermarket frame ...set up for racing or just a rolling chassie I would like to see a picture of it ....

Biggy, please e-mail me with the details on buying your DS. I plan to get rid of my Banshee[too slow] and build another DS project bike for a different magazine. knutzconcepts@msn.com
