Hey guy’s there might be hold up on the sand mountain festivities, friends of Sand Mountain have clean up event planed for that Saturday

1st Annual Friends of Sand Mountain Cleanup
Labor Day Weekend
It is time for a Spring Cleanup at Sand Mountain!
The cleanup is scheduled for Saturday March 30, 2002 from 10AM - Noon. Meet at the Kiosk by the second bathrooms. BLM will provide trash bags.
We are trying to organize a BBQ after the cleanup. If you can help or would like to sponsor all or part of the BBQ, please post on our bulletin board.
The 1st Annual Friends of Sand Mountain Cleanup was held on September 1, 2001. More than 100 people helped to clean up Sand Mountain and take part in raffle prizes donated by our sponsors. Thanks to all participants and sponsors for your help and support.
The next Labor Day cleanup will be on Saturday, August 31, 2002.

The cleanup is no big deal. We were there labor day and u just meet by the bulletin boards and get a trash bad then go pick up garbage. Actually with more people maybe we could all devot 20 minutes or so to going around and picking up some trash, its no big deal and helps keep it from getting closed down. Sean

I read the page about clean-up day...they said they picked Easter. Are they having one Labor day also?? The big issue I saw was "Permits" for "Poker Runs" from the BLM & the Friends of Sand Mountain. Hmmm... I am meeting with Jeff Monday...maybe one of us will make a few phone calls to check this stuff out.
