The plates don't mean much, but the gas reciepts would work.

I know lots of folks from Vegas that have plates and Drivers Licences from other states. They keep them to save on insurance.

1900 miles is a long way, but I am really considering making the trek from Massachusetts, according to mapsonus.com its like 2700 miles each way. Waiting to see how big its gonna get before making any final plans. Never been in the dunes, always wanted to, never had this good of an excuse...

Even if I didn't win the award, it would still be worth the 400 bucks in gas for the round trip!! 13 mpg pulling the trailer is not going to be cheap over roughly 4000 miles!

That might be a possibility. We'll have to talk more, split gas costs and split driving and we could be there in no time! I'll send you a PM.

East coast guys, your funny little accents will be a dead give away also. Hey I'm originaly from Providence, RI. I've been in Vegas for 11 years but I still have my accent.
I also have an extra set off paddles that I can lend to one of you so you don't have to go and buy any just for one weekend. I'm sure someone else will probably have an extra set also. Hope you guys decide to come.

Yah! thats right tuff guy!! hey do all you guy's from east coast talk like that and bang cab doors with your hands.LOL Here in OKIEhoma we still use words like: yall, aint, and fixin ta. I always get a kick at the guys from east that come down here and drive around, And say: "whats with all the waveing and hand jestures" I say well people just wave high when they meet you on the rode. they say: " OH, I thought they were trying to warn me about something"( ha ha)I really hope you guys can make it to Nevada, and we can poke fun at eachothers accents.

Biggerisbetter.

Bigger - I hear you, usually when someone is making a hand gesture when in a cah 'round hea they're not waving. The biggest problem I'll have out there is where to paahhhkkk the truck.

Vegas650 - Thanks for the tire offer, may take you up on that. Don't have much use for paddles back here. Did you live in Providence for long? Do you ever come back out this way?

Bombthreat187 - My truck will definitely make it, no problem there. The three place trailer would be great, even room for one more if everything works out. I already told my wife about the EVENT when I saw it first posted, told her if it got big I'd want to go. Not 100% sure yet, and no plans are etched in stone but I if things keep developing like they are it'll be awfully hard to say no.

Organ Donor - Are you listening... three place trailer with two spots filled....if you're close to on the way when this starts coming together...

BlackHawk - Are you going to post some lodging informtion on the site as you get it? Cheap motels, campgrounds, etc.. can you camp right at Sand Mountain (not in a self-contained RV...tenting)?

What about registrations? Are out of state reg. okay? Or does thestate of Nevada want my money too?!

last comment...I'm a designer and have dabbled a little in flash.. web banners and such, expert in photoshop and can convert almost anything into a pdf. If anybody wants my help all I'll need are some good west coast images and details.
