Bomber650, Think back, Is there a Raptor in the general visinity when your DS tries to start itself? I'm willing to bet that your DS is smelling "Chicken" and is just trying to tell you something!

Well, as I thought, my fan relay was bad. This is why the fan was staying on. My dealer called and talked to three different people from Bombardier about my dash lights dimming out, and they all said it was normal. The fan basically becomes a little generator and back feeds the system. They couldn't tell him exactly why some machines do it and some don't, or why some do it from the beginning and others start later. They have just had quite a few reports of this same thing, and say that as long as the machine is charging correctly and the fan is cycling the way it should, it's nothing to be concered with. I guess if anybody would know, it would be the Bombardier guys.

They may be calling it a fan "relay", but according to the electrical print in their shop manual, it is a switch actuated by temperature, with no coiled relay.

As far as shutting off with the key, vs. the kill switch. I'm not sure if it was in the manual, or somewhere else that I heard this, but I've heard that you should ONLY shut off a machine that has a kill switch with the kill switch. My take on the information was that shutting off with the key could cause damage to the electrical system. I've always used the kill switch, and have never had any sort of these problems, though I'm sure another 10-20 people on this forum have used nothing but the key with no problems, either. Aren't machines fun?
