My tach is acting up. I went out riding last weekend and noticed that my tach is now idling at 7000 rpms and reving well past ten. I checked all of my connections and they are fine. Any ideas on what it can be? Do I need a new tach or to recalibrate it?

If your warranty has expired you can remove the tach and send it to Autometer for repair or calibration, I had a similar problem with my tach in my drag car and I sent it to Autometer and they simply sent me a new one (*No Charge*) and mine was at least three years old at that time.

Did it act up after washing the bike? Mine done that same ting after I washed it. It must have gotten some moisture inside. It was fine a few days later.
