Only so many ways to get more low end. Higher compression works, watch out for detonation though. Bigger bore/stroke should help too. Dual plenum manifolds are a great way to build low end and consequently sacrifice some top end. A roots type supercharger will give you a torque monster but along with the dual plenum manifold doesnt apply here since they don't make one for a DS650 or any quad that I know of.
Lower gearing will help you feel like you have more low end because of the torque multiplication.
More midrange hit can be accomplished with the right cams and port job.

Low end can be enhanced with a supertrapp disk system, with slight effect on top end. Modify your end cap to fit 4" supertrap disks and put on 18 or less. I played with many combinations on my RWR pipe, 18 disks matched jetting of open end nozzle and had little effect on top end, but fewer disks helped more with the low end with some top end suffer.
The difference is noticable but don't expect too much - the DS already has killer low end if the carbs tuned right anyway. I run a open end Yoshi now, and I could notice the slight loss of bottom from switching from the disk set-up, but it was minimal enough for me to not worry about it.
Oh, and Tonkas are for kids, DS's are for grownups.
