Damn guys, all the literature about these carbs makes them seem as simple as can be, I never would've dreamed they were such a pain!
About the plug heat suggestion - when your bike was tuned correctly before the new carb, the DR8 was the correct heat range - it dissipated ignition heat as it should - and now with the new carb the only problem is tuning fuel/air ratio throughout the throttle range. I wouldn't change the heat dissipation rating of the plug to compensate for inaccuracies in the tuning of this new fangled carb.
If and when you get them tweeked, we gotta drag Rockey! I wanna see what she has to offer!

HT, I've got mine tuned in now, you just have to be really patient. Like Rocky said you'll be able to pull the top of and get to the slide in under a minute. 1\4 turns at a time. Could take 10-15 times to get it right, it's hard to find a starting point.
The only issue I'm having now is the throttle. Looks like I'll be going to a twist.
So who's going to Glamis this weekend?
