Default Race Head Question

I recently went to FSW's and ran with the bolt on's. My only problem now is I want more power. I have been looking at race heads from PAMI, TVI and others. I have pretty much nailed it down to TVI, but before I pull the trigger I would like to get some feedback from anyone who has had any experiene with TVI and there race heads. Thanks.

There probly as good as any! tvi heads have a 40intake and 34 exhaust. I would run a differant cam, exhaust and carb too so that you can get the benfits of the new head. You dont what the exhaust or intake being the restriction..

Default Race Head Question

Sand45:

Final Climax is my buddy / neighbor / guy that was in the trailer with me at 4SW's

Nothing like a little competition to make you want to go faster.

What cams are you running again? I think you had a little stronger pull up the hill. I may need to go to a different Exhaust too. Are you running the Ron Wood Exhaust?

Sand45 and Northjeepster? Have you guys ever met up and raced? Very interested in that 102mm bore!!!

Default Race Head Question

Gary (TVI/DS Works) showed me his head next to a Ron Woods head. No comparison. If I were going with and aftermarket head, it would be the DS Works head.

Default Race Head Question

Northjeepster: Why a different cam? I also plan on putting in dual 39's at the same time.

Sand45: Duneme is running strong, but I have to run stronger than him. As he said " Nothing like a little competition to make you want to go faster."

I new FSW's was going to cost me money!!!!

Default Race Head Question

You can build ALOT of HP by staying with the Stock head, and valves.(ex. DSmike) I think for the money of a aftermarket head ,you could buy ALL the rest of your parts to go FAST!

Headwork,
Carbs
cams
piston
CLutches

and with the money left over, you could LIGHTEN the DS up.

Default Race Head Question

so here is the way not to go about building you'r motor. talked to knutz about 760 pami, wanted to much $$$ and months down time. next put on a ron wood stage III kit. go down to little sahara get beat by alky stockish ds's. come home and order pami 760 cylinder and 12.1 piston but reuse the rwr head work 40mm/31mm valves and A1 cams. so it runs strong but not as hot as i had hoped. pami head work and matching cams (complete kits) best total combo. lesson learned don't miss match parts if you want all out performance
