TextIs Glamis worth driving 11 hours to.
one thing I feel is nessary at Glamis is a GPS on the bars, get GPS info at several sites then you can find all the hills and such and find your way back to camp easily

The washes are the place to go if you go to Glamis! Easy access and small dunes around there for the kids to mess around on.
Don't worry about the dust, it's gonna be dusty no matter where you go!

Is the sand compact enough to drive out on to camp where ever?
We go to Pismo all the time and you can drive down the beach with no problem. Chevy HD2500 Duramax sinks like a rock with trailer behind it.
Maybe leaving early on the 12th or so we would be able to get enough room
for or group on Gecko Rd?

Hopefully it won't be dusty(to bad). We'll either ride or go inside Camper or trailer. Would like to get are whole group together. We
normaly go to the desert that week and thats never a problem.
