Quest 650 XT problems
I would but the bombardier dealer around here really sucks so I am not going to go with another bombardier. acutally I am going to go with the kawasaki V-force. found a dealer about 45 mins away that seems to be doing reall good...the show room looks really nice and one of the doors to the back was open and it looked like eveything was pretty well clean and all in the back too.

Quest 650 XT problems
I took my 650 Quest out for a half hour in the deer woods. Shifting is better but still a bit touchy. It ran good but my rear brakes failed after about fifteen minutes. There is fluid inside the right rear tire rim so I guess it will go back to the dealer after I get some hunting next week.

2002 Quest
Wick, Mine shifts like a dream, no brake problems (the engine braking almost makes them secondary), 2800miles in 10 months just oil and gas, except major deceleration backfire. Fast as hell, faster than Prarie, grizzly, 700 polaris, awsesome climber and plow machine. Fix the trailer hitch, cut the ball plate off and weld it in 2" higher.

Hello I am doing so work on a Quest and the person I'm doing the work for is complaining about the engine braking almost throwing them over the handle bars. When you let off of the gas at high speeds the engine braking bucks back and forth, is this normal for this model? I have takin it both primary and secondary apart and have found a few things, like the oneway clutch on the primary was very worn and the belt seems kind of tight. The parts fiche comfirms the belt is correct, and I replaced the oneway clutch with the updated parts and it still bucks, is this just how they are?
and help!

engine braking
Hey guys,
Old thread, but I am wondering if anybody had the same issue as Razor? The engine braking on my recently acquired 02 quest 650 is ridiculously aggressive. This machine will not coast at any speed, as soon as you let off the throttle, it bucks hard, and that just can't be good for the clutch or belt. It can be pretty scary on a curved downhill decent at 40+ mph on a gravel forest service road. I have had it just about lock up the front wheels its slamming the clutch so hard. i have heard that on the Yammy Rhino, the engine braking shuts off above 11 mph. Anybody know if this thing has a speed sensor that would do the same thing? I have ridden other BRP's, can am's, polaris, Hondas & Suzuki's... and i have never experienced anything like this.... Maybe a cut in adjustment? My local dealer is really no help, they are into too many product lines and really dont know anything about this machine, some of the guys had never even seen a quest. I would just be happy enough to disable the engine braking to make this thing rideable. Its awfully hard on the shoulders bracing yourself to keep from going over the handle bars every time you let off the throttle. Especially on those long days of destination riding... Any quest owners have this problem?
