Default clutch for ds650

i just put a barnett 9 disk clutch on my 02 baja and it seems like it is shifting a lil tough than it did with the stock clutch i have tried to adjust it but doesn't seem to help much. what i mean by tougher is that i can hear it clunk from gear to gear like the sound of the gears meshing. any ideas??

Mine did the same thing when I ran the barnetts. After about 4 or 5 rides it got better though. But then on the last ride all it did was slip. In barnetts defence my son was the ridder that day. And I found out that he was slipping the cluch all day. Im sure any clutch would give way to that kind of abuse. Freekin kids.
When you installed the barnetts did you have to file the odd plate so that it would fit in the offset groves? Or has barnett corected this yet?

No I never herd a clunk. It was just tight getting them into each gear. Only at first though. Netural was hard to find sometimes. But never any cluck or metal to meat type sounds. Is the clunk you here only when you put it into first gear. Or does it do it in all gears. If it's only first gear. My stck clutches will do that if I get a little excited at the start line and rev before im in gear. Then put it in gear before the revs come down enough. Is that the clunk sound your hearing?

well i think that what i am hearing is just the tight fit. it isn't a metal to metal sound it just sounds like it is haveing a hard time getting into the gear and it will do it all the way through when i am just sitting but so far no problems when riding but i haven't really had the chance to get her out and run her good yet.
