kamakaze, does your 150 have a auto choke or a manual one? And Agu01 is your 150 working right yet? Are either of you still using the stock spark plug? If you are, get a NGK C7HSA and try it.

mywifesquad, mine is a 110. Yes switched to NGK plug the second week. No still not running right, haven't had time to work on it. Found a reputable service tech. for Honda, Yamaha, says he can work on it. He will be coming over to help me next week, I'll let everyone know if we find a solution.

Have either of you ever cleaned the carb? Or done any adjustments to the carb?

My wifes quad, Yes I took the carb off and cleaned it twice, but it was already very clean. I tried adjusting it with the neeedle in all 5 positions, just fouled a few plugs. The carb. worked best in its original setting.

I just saw where you had cleaned it in another post. Sorry about that. Have you ever adjusted the air/fuel screw on the carb? Its usually just above the float bowl cover on the carb. It will effect idle and just off idle rpm the most. And this may sound stupid, but did you check/set the gap on the spark plug?

The air fuel screw your referring to, is the flat head screw to the left of the idle screw on the right side of bike? Yes, I adjusted it several times according to the directions found on this forum. I met with a mechanic today who used to assemble Kazumas for a local company. He said the number 1 problem was plastic from the fuel tank stopping up the carbs. When I get a chance I will try to clean it again. No I didn't set the plug gap, Ididn't have any specs. on that. It is set around .025 to .03. I'm open to anymore suggestions you have, thanks for the help.

Well a funny thing happened. I dropped the atv off to my friends house, who is a service mechanic on Friday. I went over today to help him work on it today, and it does not fire at all anymore. Everything seems to check out ok. He told me to try a new CDI Box and see if I could locate a service manual for the bike, to be able to check the rest of the electrical system. I will try that when I get the part and post back.

Got a replacement CDI and Coil, installed them both even though the old coil still fired with the new CDI. Replacing them solved the problem, no more stalling out after running a while. Did have one new problem, the engine no longer shuts off with the kill switch or ignition. I believe the CDI I got was for a Kazuma not a Yamoto. There was a number on the side of the old one, (100D.A.03.03 ). Can anyone tell me if that is a part number? or if Kazuma and Yamoto have the same CDI?
