At times it has been warm enough to be riding so I would like to do it asap, I think if the weather is good here in a few weeks after we get back from snorkeling in the Bahamas I will order the quads. I just hate to have them sitting on the trailer while the Warranty is ticking away. We will see how it goes!
I am sure looking forward to the 150's, I think they will be a fun sporty Totgoat type quad!
Waiting until after vacation is a good idea, thats for sure. It would be horroble to be snorkeling and thinking of the quad back home. The 150 has a sort of tote goat style to it. Mine has pulled me up some pretty nasty trails. In a slowly but surely kind of way, but considering Im way to big for the 150 it does great.

I think I'm going to swap the sprockets on my 250 and my 200. (my wife not yours) My wifes quad needs a little more top end and my 250 needs a little less top end so I can enjoy 4th gear. Do you think this will help both of them??

Also I'm glad to here that you like your 250 also I'm glad you broke it in a sense. Because it broke with you running the hell out of it. I mean it wasn't like the wheels fell off or the frame just ripped apart. I ride mine pretty good (nothing like you did) but nothings changed on mine, nothings loose or vibrating or anything like that. Just plain old fun to ride !!
Hi JetmotoJay, i would think the 17 tooth sprocket would be too much for the 200 to even pull. The 14 might be good on the 250 though. The other problem with putting the 17 on the 200 is you would need a longer chain or atleast a extra link and masterlink. With the 14 on the 250 you would have to remove a link from the chain.

LOL Its funny but thats what Eugene said too. He says now we can strengthen something most people wont come close to breaking.

Should be here in a week or so hopefully on on the 15th, that will give me several days to put them together and toy around with before I have to go back to work. I ordered one Red and blue of each. When we get all our head sizes we will buy some helmets from Raceways also! John is sending me some larger Jets for the 250, Did you install the larger jets in yours?
I guess I'm done kicking tires now!

MWQ, not sure you'll remember me but I posted about a year ago asking questions and finally reviewing the '06 jetmoto 200 that I bought from Raceway. After following this thread and reading a bunch about the 250, i'm really interested. That being said, having both of them like you do, you can really give me a good comparison of the 2. I read how you broke the mount on the swing arm for the rear shock, and that worries me, as I do a lot of jumping, and certainly don't want anything like that to break at 40-50 mph, any ideas when jetmoto will have that area strengthened? The 06-200's swingarm is really tough and i've 'tested' it repeatedly. heh.

Also, how would you compare the suspension between the 06-200 and the 07-250? I'm sure it's better, but in what regard? The front suspension is a little pogo-ish and the rear shock is a bit stiff and not much travel on the '06-200, have those issues been straightened out on the 07-250? I have adjusted the suspension on my bike to where it responds well under normal riding, and lands well on jumps, but with my light-a$$(160lbs) on it, the rear spring is too heavy and there's not enough rebound for me.

I've also read that you suggest the 15 tooth sprocket on the front and the 17 it comes with is too tall, do you know if jetmoto is going to change that? or is that something i'd have to buy in addition? also, the jetting sounds like is a must-do as there's a bunch of power waiting to be unleashed! It's cool that John at raceway is providing those jets. How much seat-of-the-pants HP do you think it has on the 06-200? You think 50% more?

If you have a chance, would it be possible to take some hi-res/close-up pics of the bike? I'd like to get a closer look at the suspension, axle carrier, and engine.

I'm sure i'll be pestering more, but i'll stop for now.

THANKS!!!

Hi whodatbe, of course I remember you. How you been? Let me try and cover all your questions. I have gotten a real job since a year ago and dont have near the time to post. First thing is if you have not broken your 200 i guarantee you can ride the 250 in the same section going twicwe as fast and you will not have any problems. I have never tried it because my wife really likes her 200. But if I rode it as hard as I did the 250 I could destroy it in short order. I was hammering the 250 when it broke not just riding it hard.

If you were reading my posts about a year ago i said something like the '06 Jetmoto 200 is light years aheasd of my '04 Yamoto. Well the '07 250 is approx. 2 light years ahead of the '06 200. Its hard to really compare the 2. They only share the engine cases and plastic. Darn near eveything else is new and the way the quad is built is all new also. The '06's had about 4" or so of wheel travel and some damping in the shocks. The '07 250 has over twice as much travel and great damping control. I guarantee you can go thru the same section on a 250 twice as fast as you could on your 200. The jets make a big differencve in the way the machine runs and it also starts easier. I set the fuel screw at 1 3/4 turns out.

Im not sure about the 15 tooth sprocket but i would think they would give one to anyone who asks for it. If not they should! My guess would be that the 250 makes about 25% more power than the 200.

My 250 is still in pieces and I am making some aluminum linkage pieces while its apart. I got sort of side tracked on the sport quad while Im trying to get my CNC mill running.

If i missed anything let me know and Ill answer those questions later.

What Spark plug do I need for the 250 and 150s I have coming? Do they need to be replaced at set up? Is it advised to grease all zerks at set up, and what was the reason for Quadster1's rear bearing failure on his 250 was lack of grease an issue there?

NGK C7HSA for the 150 and a D8EA for the 250. Not sure about the bearing failure on Quadster1's quad. I am thinking of taking all the needle bearing pivots apart and greasing them while my machine is down. I have read in both quad and dirt bike magazines that the Japanese scrimp on grease during assembly. I have also sen it first hand when Ive got home with a new Japanese dirt bike and taken it apart before riding it. Im not a betting man but Id bet the Chinese scrimp on grease too.
