I had a great weekend with smb05 and his family. Im going to do it again real soon. That way we can make that video. We didnt get around to it by the time I broke the 250. How did I break the 250? We had been riding for about a hour and a half or so. We were looking around for a few sections to do a video, and had found 2 good places and maybe a third. I wanted to go back to camp and crank up the preload on the rear shock. I had bottomed out the rear shock a few times and once real hard. When I would bottom the shock I would be in 3rd gear, with the 15 tooth sprocket Id guess around 35-40mph. The whoops were 2.5'-3' deep and about 8'-10' apart. I would sort of roll/hop thru the first 2 and hit hard on the 3rd one. And repeat that as long as the whoops lasted. And there are a lot of whoops in this area. On the way back to camp I left the smooth road to banzai thru a section of whoops. I landed real hard on one of the bigger ones and bottomed big time. The swingarm mounted linkage bracket broke out around the hole. The quad skidded over the next few whoops and stopped without pitching me over the bars. Im not sure if the bolt came loose (I never checked the linkage or shock bolts for tightness) and aided the breaking process, or if I was just hammering the quad real hard and it was going to break. Eugene keeps asking me if I was trying to break it. I told him no but I was pushing real hard when it happened.
It was a real bummer to break the quad but it sure was fun util it broke. The quad was absolutely a blast to ride, handled nasty terrain very well. It was very comfortable to ride, even at my over sized 6'4" 230lbs I didnt feel cramped. The quad had real good power with the smaller front sprocket (15 tooth). I didnt try the 14 tooth sprocket but after riding it with the 15 Im happy. I am going to be working on a fixing the broken bracket this weekend and hopefully getting back out riding next weekend. I will most likely be reinforcing the bracket and those updates will get into production soon. Anyone who breaks a swing arm like i did will get one of the reinforced versions. I personally dont think too many people (that will buy this quad) can push it as hard as I did and break it. If that bolt is kept tight it may never break. I should get another stock swingarm and test this.

Did you happen to get any action photos or is the pic's smb05 posted all that was taken? I have noticed the Roketa and Coolsport 250 has a bigger rear sping, is that perhaps what the Jet 250 needs?

The family and I had a great time riding with mywifesquad and his wife. We all look forward to when the two of them can come down and ride with us again or we can go up to their area and ride. I am sorry that we did not get any video or any action pictures this time out.
I have to say that the New Jetmoto 250 performed well beyond my expectations. There was a point on our scouting trip that MWQ blew past me and ran the quad through a nice set of whoops and then he hit a burm. Now when he blew past me I mean he was really moving. I was amazed at the way the quad handled. You could see the stability of the new suspension and the quad showed no signs of tipping even with MWQ size. I must say that the 250 is not lacking in power. With the right rider such as MWQ and his riding abilities there was no way I would have caught up to him. I did stop to wait for the girls to catch up to us and MWQ was nowhere to be seen.
For those of you that are timid/non-aggressive riders, I can say that as it is now, the quad will probably be trouble free for the life of the quad.
For those that are semi-aggressive riders, again, same thing, you will probably never have any issues with the quad.
For those of you who are aggressive riders, wait for the repair
It is my personal opinion that once the new updates are applied, this quad will hold its own with most of the 250cc contenders out there.
I think outofline had a question about the quads color. He asked if it really looked orange in the sun light. I have to be honest I did not really notice the color of the quad in the sun light or the shade. It looked red to me, but my wife did say it did look lighter in the sun light.
I'm looking forward to hearing from other 250 owners. It would be great to have input from you guys.

Thanks for the write up smb, about the color it does not appear off red in any other photos save it were for yours. If I add a bit of saturation to yours it reddens right up, and your Boreem 150 appears to be a little on the Purple side but again if a bit of saturation is added it turns blue like I think it truly is. May want to check the saturation level in your camera? But your Video seems to show the same coloring so I am at a loss unless it's the same camera that you use for video and stills? Oh well, it's just my wife insists on Red and Reddish Orange isn't going to fly to well!

outofline, As a KTM rider I wish it was more orange. Its a fire engine red. No orange in it at all. Are you any closer to deciding what you are going to buy?

Why can you tell I'm out kicking tires, is it that obvious?
As it stands I will be buying two Jetmoto 150's (one Red one Blue) and two 250's. I am not exactly sure if I will go with the Jet 250 or another Chinese quad I have been pricing out. There are pros and cons of both of these quads and I have been weighing them up, it is still snowing here in Utah so I'm in no real big hurry but I am getting anxious to get going on these. And my new 4 quad trailer is looking pretty empty just sitting there. So these riding reviews are a big help in the deciding phase I'm in.

outofline, yah its pretty obvious. LOL
I dont think you will be disapointed getting 2 '07 Jetmoto 150's. They are going to be the ultimate handling 150 quad made in any country. I would like to see a magazine do a comparison between it and a Suzuki LT 160. How long until the snow melts and you get to buy some toys?

Well it melts then it snows and then melts and snows again. At times it has been warm enough to be riding so I would like to do it asap, I think if the weather is good here in a few weeks after we get back from snorkeling in the Bahamas I will order the quads. I just hate to have them sitting on the trailer while the Warranty is ticking away. We will see how it goes!
I am sure looking forward to the 150's, I think they will be a fun sporty Totgoat type quad!

MWQ I have a question for you.
I think I'm going to swap the sprockets on my 250 and my 200. (my wife not yours) My wifes quad needs a little more top end and my 250 needs a little less top end so I can enjoy 4th gear. Do you think this will help both of them??
Also I'm glad to here that you like your 250 also I'm glad you broke it in a sense. Because it broke with you running the hell out of it. I mean it wasn't like the wheels fell off or the frame just ripped apart. I ride mine pretty good (nothing like you did) but nothings changed on mine, nothings loose or vibrating or anything like that. Just plain old fun to ride !!

The color on the 250 is RED not orange. VERY RED !!
If your wife likes red, she'll like this.
I wish they made yellow for these. I ended up getting yellow for my wife on her 200. I had to get it from a Roketa machine. Same frame and plastic on the 200 in 06'
Looks alot better.
