I had test rode it for a half an hour, Still Making payments.(It is still at the dealers shop while I make payments until the weather gets warmer soI can ride all summer under warrenty).
The weather is rainy and muddy from OCT- March here and it can be pretty cold. Also other families quads are in the shop getting the needed repairs from the summer runs.
I plan to p/u in april, and I wanted to fix all kinks and get the upgrades for my prototype. to ensure years of riding like I expect.
What is the best Spark plug for a hotter engine?? NGK PLATIUM or what??
What gas grade and company works the best for atv's. This is my first new quad I have purchased. I have bben riding for mabye 3 yrs locally!

What oil should I use in the engine and the tranny?? Should it be an atv oul with wet cluch lube/detergeant?? or should I use a synthetic or regular??
Your help is appreciated!!

Thanks guys!!

Anyone happen to know the realistic load capacity of the 250 Sport and the 250 Hunter? Its not listed on Raceway's or Jetmoto's site. After the good luck we've had with my daughter's Kazuma Falcon 90 (going on a year now, no major problems and still running great!), we want to buy a Jetmoto 150 and 250 from Raceway with our tax returns. Im 6'1", 320 lbs (yes, Im a fat-a$$, I know). Is the 250 Hunter going to carry me and my cargo (belly) around worth a damn, or am I just going to break it?

i will be using a NGK D8ES.

I have run mid grade in my current Jetmotos (purchased anywhere, but....The 250 will most likely get the gas i get for my KTM and other 2 strokes. 76 premium.

Very cool!!!

i will break mine in on 10w-40 Valvoline(what I run in my other Jetmotos) After break in I will probubly use Motul 10w-40 4 stroke oil.

Any more hrs. on your JM 250's and how are they holding up? I am still battling with the idea of used big 4 (possibly Warriors) or 2 JM 250's! I'm pretty sure I still will buy 2 JM 150's for the wife and younger son but the 250 is still in question, just waiting til we get back from the Bahamas to place an order. Has anyone put their JM 250 up against anything else (big 4) to compare?

I spent a little more time with my 250 getting ready for this weekend. I tried the 15 tooth sprocket and its a huge improvement over stock. But.........now I want to try it with a 14 tooth sprocket and see how that works. I think it might work even better. It might be too low but i wont know until I try. I will pull the 14 tooth off my wifes 200 tomorrow and check it out.

A couple thing's Ive wanted to mention since I put mine together. Before putting the front calipers/front tires on, take a wrag with some carb cleaner on it and clean both sides of the brake disc's. You can do this to the rear disc too but the caliper is already mounted in the rear. If you do this Im sure the brakes will work much better than if you dont. The other thing I did was replace the stock fuel line and fuel filter with some fuel line from my local auto parts store.

I would hate to lose to much top end, with only 4 speeds and all big 4 with 5 you may get left behind going to low. But like you say it's worth a try. With the smaller sprocket will it pull the front tires up off the ground or does it take dumping the clutch? BTW is the clutch lever hard to pull in, some I chinese atv's I have sat on are hard and some are easy?

JetmotoJay, i will let you know tonite and im going to try some larger jets in the carb also. i got a red one so it matches my hondas.

outofline, the clutch is easy for my wife to pull in and dont worry too much about losing top speed. The stock 17 tooth sprocket made 4th gear impossible to use. The 15 tooth sprocket made it so you could atleast shift into 4th, but I just have to wonder how low is too low. Its easy to tell if its geared too tall and also easy to tell if its geared too low. Right now I think Im somewhere in the middle but wont know until I try.

Some of my pics and specs on Raceway's site are from the demo unit. The tires on the bike is the ones on Jetmoto's site. Raceway site will be updated shortly! Stay tuned!

Video of these atv's I think would go a long way for selling these unfamiliar units. We have all seen the big 4 in action but these Chinese quads are a mystery to us. I feel some action video of each quad would sell big time. Most all Chinese dealers on the net give incorrect specs or even pictures, you kind of are taking a real risk when buying these on line so let us see what these quads will do.
