They were sold in Pep Boys Auto Parts store. Lot's of Gearheads go through that store. Too bad the quality and support was so terrible.

They have them up here at PepBoys also.. not sure if they are still selling them. The lack of support from PepBoys was unreal. I didnt understand it, it could have been a great thing. No stocked parts(its not like they didnt have shelves around). Didnt work on them after the sale(its not like they didnt have tools there).

I'm actually restoring the same quad right now and found that motopartsdealer.com has the carburetor in stock. I just got shipping confirmation from them (from china so it'll be a while) and hopefully it'll solve my problems (garbage carb diaphragms)

Qianjiang QJ250 QJ 250cc Carburetor Carb [QJ-Carb] - $59.50 : , Chinese Parts

I needed to order 99$ worth of parts which was too bad, but I needed a few other things they had in stock so it wasn't too difficult to get there.

Nice price. What did they charge to ship it from China? For some reason the pics look a little different than my stock carb. Could just be the pic angles.

25$ shipping which I thought was decent. I picked up a radiator fan (mines frozen) and some other odds and ends to get to 99$

~125 shipped for everything

I found some other forum threads that suggested baja designs wd250 and QJ250 are the same (or nearly the same) machine. The measurements from motopartsdealer line up with mine. The differences I can see are theirs has a manual choke (vs our automatic), their bracket for the throttle cable is a bit different but I will just swap it out, and theirs is missing the long plunger thing on the side of the float bowl but again I can use the one off my current carb. Also doesn't look to be watercooled, but its easy enough to reroute the lines. Hopefully this'll work when it arrives!

Ah yes. It was the manual choke and the missing auto choke that threw me off. Nice find on a vendor.

Hi, mine is a BAJA 250/QJ 250/KEEWAY 250 all same ATV.
NOTE;-------- I have contacted the overseas manager of QJ, the original manufacture, and she said she is going to try and find out WHERE I can get the UPDATED GEAR BOX/AND OR THE REBUILD KIT !!!!! SOOOOoooooo, everyone keep their fingers crossed ???? But that has been over a week ago now ?
I e mailed an ATV dealer in Argentina that is selling KEEYWAY ATV's, so maybe that pans out also ???
And HEY, let us know WHAT YOU DO IF YOU CAN'T fix your GEAR BOX .
Maybe you could make the shaft off the case a direct drive , some how ??
Oh well
Thanks for your post
