need help with coolster 150cc utility atv
#11
Okay so here's my update. I put a new battery in the atv today and I purchased a performace coil so things are functioning well now. My battery before was dead and I was jumping it off my truck and I think that's why I burnt up coil after coil. Okay so now having said that. The whole exhaust smoking problem. It is blue smoke looKS like a 2 stroke running really rich. So here is where I am confused..
Would the air and fuel mix screw even fix the blue smoke problem? And next would my exhaust valve maybe be the reason I have it set to 0.005 with a feeler guage? Or is this whole problem wrapped around something in the top end?

Did you check the air box and air filter for oil? If they are oily, it will smoke like a chain saw until this oil is sucked through the engine. Have you overfilled the sump? Is the fuel in the tank what you put in, some people put oil in the fuel before a lay up to prevent corrosion in tanks and carburettors. If everything else is OK you have bought a bike with worn rings and/or valve seals, but don't tear it down until you are certain of this.

update!! I've fixed my smoke problem. 2 things happened when I was in the top end. 1 I realized that my exhaust valve was not opened to the spec it should have been. And 2 the valves looked good but we're both a little bit off. I'm assuming that since I adjusted them both to a spec I found in a gy6 pdf manual that was the issue. Bc when I timed the cam back up and started it up no smoke none! The carb got tuned in and all is well. Either I got lucky or like my buddy said I was prolly re burNing extra fuel at one point bc I plug would be wet and smell like gas. But no the plug looks good not lean and not rich. So I'm happy reguardless.
