Yeah, I would ditch the oil inject part. I removed the double cable on my Dinli (sold) and ran pre-mix only.
2 strokes need back pressure. Do you have your air filter on (if not, put it on) as this would also cause a no idle situation. You said new carb so idle jet should be good.
