Default 2005? Chongqing Kinlon 50cc ATV

Hey guys, first post here. I bought a little China ATV for my 4yo, was told it had a no spark issue..no biggy, got a great deal on it.. previous owner had it apart, the more I look at it the more hacked up the wiring is.

My problem is I have NO paperwork on it, I don’t know the year/make/model, other than what the vin decoder told me. I’m reaching out to y’all to help me figure out this thing.

Ill add add pictures to help y’all.

You may have problems with that one, the 50cc two stroke was superseded by Honda Cub clones 10 to 15 years ago. There are also the horrible 50cc brushcutter engined Mini Motos at the bottom end of the market. Eton used a similar looking two stroke, don't know if it was the same one.

The bike is in great shape, I may source a few parts I have found the stator finally.

Is is it worth it?

UPDATE::

After tinkering with it, and putting the old stator back in it. (I bought the quad taken apart) I can get spark when I touch the green wire with a red trace to ground, ONLY when the starter circuit is engaged. I did get bit a few times by it. So, does that mean the stator is good or bad? Or am I just discharging the CDI? It’s almost as it’s not getting a trigger.

Although as i said, it only does it with the starter circuit engaged.

ill add a picture of the mess im dealing with and maybe someone can lead me in the right direction.

Also, to note...the plug would jump the gap without even going to ground when I touched that wire
This is what I got the bike as.
That’s the wire I can ground and get spark.

Where are people tapping into to get a trigger for the CDI? I can ground the trigger wire and get spark
3 sparks per contact and break to be exact...but this quad doesn’t look like it has any place to mount a trigger, it has no magnets on exterior of flywheel and no mount for it.

May be a Suzuki LT 80 style ignition system, no idea how it works but the exciter coil and trigger coil is combined in them. Here is the diagram, makes no sense to me, but it shows there is no trigger.

Thank you!
Definetely gives me a direction to start, I have a stator on order, but who knows how long of a boat ride to get here. You’d think any pulse would work for the trigger...I’ll just have to wait and see when the new stator shows
