Default Electrical problems

I have a trailrover 250cc quad, I have no electrical power at on. I can turn on the ignition and I have no lights and will not turn over at all. I have a new battery but i don't have any power at all. Does anyone have an idea what's wrong. It hasn't ran in about 8 months it's still practically new less than 30 hours of operation. Help please

The main fuse may have blown, especially if you connected the battery the wrong way round. Or the key switch could have corroded inside with standing. Check the fuse, and if that is OK check you are getting power through switch when it is on. If it is a multi wire switch, it is a lot easier to work out which wire should be the power in, and which power out, if you can find a wiring diagram for that machine.

look on the back of the switch for broken wires. I had one that only had one strand of wire holding it.
