Kayo Fox 70cc No Low End Power
#1
Working on a new Kayo Fox 70cc quad. Has no low end power. Needs a push to get started going. Once its going tho its fine. I removed the throttle limit screw. Anything I can do to boost low end power on this model?

We have two of them, both brand new. I wouldn't imagine both are having clutch issues out the gate.

Those little machines are not much heavier than the motorcycles the engine was designed for. The motorcycles are capable of transporting an adult at up to 50mph so there is something sadly wrong if it can't pull a child up a small hill. As all these posts are about Kayo Fox 70s, my guess would be that yes there is a fault on them all, could be whoever is supposed to set the clutch at the factory doesn't know how, could be wrong ratios for gears chosen. A slipping clutch feels totally different to a badly adjusted carb, or too high a gear ratio but, unless you work out which it is, you are never going to fix it.
