Tao 110cc Carb Adjustment
#1
Recently, we removed the carburetor on our Tao 110cc for cleaning. Bad gas was the culprit and she would crank, but wouldn’t start. After removing, cleaning and reinstalling the carb she’s now running too rich (wheels begin to spin quickly as the choke is turned off). I made sure everything lined up correctly when I put the carb back together. I adjusted the carb and thought I had it about right. I turned in for the evening, came back the following day and the same thing happened at start up. This unit does have some age to it, but it has been very reliable up until this point. I went ahead and purchased a new carb for it since it were only $14 and to see it that will help.
Would anyone be willing to offer some insight on this?

I went back and tore it apart again last night. I made sure everything was lined up correctly inside the carburetor. Then, I spent some time trying to get the engine warmed up (What a treat that was
). It ran fine after making a couple adjustments to idler screw. I’ll go back and let it run again today. Fingers are crossed that it responds the same.
It’s a 2007 ATA110/B1 and the kids have surely enjoyed it. It still runs like it has plenty of life left in it, but time will tell!
