Default 2002 Honda Rancher Shifting Problems

hey everyone. I was looking for a little advice on a honda ranchers tranny. I think it has a problem with the shifting. It is an Es and for say when im riding ill be goin down the logging road or down the bean field and from 3rd to 5ht when i click the shift button i can hear it shift it but there is a 2 seocond delay before it hits the gas and goes. I just dont know whats up. If any one knows anything about this topic please tell me. thanks Paul

Just to clarify: Are you shifting from 3rd directly up to 5th? (without reving through 4th) Or are you shifting through 3rd, 4th, 5th and then there's a 2 second delay before it goes?

What happened to 4th?

sry i meant when i shift through 3rd 4th 5th and i rev it appriately it just sits there. the best example is when im goin down the road and a shift from 3rd to 4th it delays and its about a 1 second delay from 4th to 5ht
