What tires do I need for my LT500/GSXR project
Hey everyone first post over here, I usually post at the ATV Source forums but it is too inactive and I would like some responses asap.
So I have a LT500 and my cylinder cracked last riding season out at Pismo. It was beyond repair so I sold all the Engine parts off (I got over $1,000 for everything) and bought a GSX-R600 Engine for her and my friend is fabricating everyhthing for me, including a new swingarm that is +6. After that I am gonna powder coat the frame and put some Chrome 'bling' here and there
So I need some tires for the 105hp beast. I want something that is gonna hook up real well in the sand drags at dumont, on the flats and the hill. But I also need something that is going to turn pretty nice (so straight cut probably won't work well) when I go on dune runs with my buddies. What is my best bet for a somewhat all around tire with a little favor in the drag deparmnet.
Second question, where can I get the tires for it, and some nice chrome wheels to compliment them

You will most likely have to run a striaght paddle to get it to hook for the drags and hills. I don't know of any V-Paddle that will handle that much HP . A Skat-Trak Hauler will probably be your best bet in a 22 or 25 inch tall tire. I would run no less that 12 paddles on a setup like that. Try www.JimsSandToys.com for a good price and some expert advice. Hope this helps.

do not go bigger the 22". i run 22x12x10 16 haulers on my 2002 gsxr1000 and my wife runs 21x12x8 10 extreme haulers on her 2002 gsxr600. both lt250 frames. i run a +4 and she runs stock swingarm. they both handle extremely well and can slide them around and also drag. hope that helps
