Which sand tires?
Hey everyone, i have a trx 250R and was wondering which paddle tires you would reccommend to run on it, As well as what thickness of the rim to run. Any help would be appreciated. I tend to hit the jumps alot, so i am looking for a ribbed front tire. I also like to go fast in a straight line, and occasionally run drags. Thanks for all of the help.

We have 2 sets of Sand Stars 2 sets of Skat Trak Extremes and 2 sets of Sand Sharks. The best is the most expensive, the Extremes. The footprint is really wide giving it excellent traction in really loose sand. The Sandstars are a good tire too but they aren't as wide. On flat ground i don't feel a difference, but starting up a hill it hooks up faster. Sliding is a different story though, while the Extremes do slide nicely the Sandstars just seems to kick out better. Sand Sharks are a decent tire, nothing to spectacular about them, just they work. But for overall price and functionality the SandStars are the choice. If you have the money get the Extremes. Rims? .190 is a favorite. I opt for ITP T9s or C-series (because they look really really cool).

since you jump stay away from the .125, stick with the .160's or 190's. they will hold up great. as far as the tires, if you love to drag race look into the haulers. I've been going to the duens for a VERY long time and i guarantee you haulers on 250r is the most least run combo, mostly due to the torque the haulers require to spin them... you will love the v' paddles even if you drag race. unless your r is a 350powervalve, you wont be needing haulers. get a set of skat trak edges on 6-7 paddles on douglas .160's. excellent set-up, like i said the msot commonly run tire on a 250r is the v paddles not the straight. and their is a reason why...
