As a matter of fact, I just ordered a set of the 22x7-10's today. I think that the only real difference is that the XC's have stiffer sidewalls for more durability. The size is 22 compared to 21, which is really only a 1/2" gain overall in actual ground clearance. If I were you, I would order the 22"ers. I have 20" shredders on the back, and currently 21x7-10 Kenda Front Max's on the front.
Definately do not get the Front Max's. They are total junk, so far, I have had to replace one because of a hole in the sidewall, and now, the replacement has a hole in it's sidewall, with about 4 plugs in it, and will only hold air for an hour and a half.
I am ordering the new 22x7-10's, so I can survive Cochranton. Maybe see you there.
Good Luck

i am going to get the 22s after thinking about it. people say they will have more side wall flex, but really they might have less because they are XCs with the harder sidewalls. i also want the front tires alittle taller looking, i hate when the front tires are small and back looks bigger.
by the way, what is Cochranton?? some kind of race or trails? fill me in.
