Default How thick of wheels for dunes?

How thick of wheels should I buy for paddle tires? .125, .160, or .190?

I'm fairly new to the sport, and only do moderate jumping, but want something that I can grow into. Will the thinner wheels bend if I jump with them? How about lighter weight for less inertia/faster spin-up? Whats the trade off?

Thanks in advance!

Thinner means lighter, which is a big advantage in the sand. But, thinner also means more fragile. I have .125's on the smaller bikes, because they don't get as much abuse. But, .190's on the 400's. Maybe .160 makes a nice compromise???????????

Another thing. I use ITP rims. They are 9X9 and have a 4+5 offset. So, they are wider than stock or Douglas, and with the greater offset, your bike ends up +3 wider! Wider is always better in the sand!

Right now I have .160s and they are OK but I don't catch much air. The weight difference between .160 and .190 isn't much so I would say if you plan on riding hard get the .190s and be sure they will hold. For regular riding the .160s are more than adequate, though.
