I second this, I own a Raptor and a Banshee, I have ridden a DS and a Yamaha 450. They are all NICE! For Drags you want a Banshee if you like Duning I think the DS is a Blast to Ride!

Got to throw my 2 cents.
1st of all you will not like the ride of a ds, after riding a V
2nd if you but FST 800 big bore on your V you will have a smile from ear to ear
3rd the look on the other quad riders face when you wax them is priceless
4th i have FST 800 kit with boondockers nitrous so i know what it is like

morehorsepower- wow that sounds like a pretty impressive V you have, wanna meet at the dunes Sat the 24th and race the hill? I have one of the big slow uncomfortable DS's and I'll spot you 100 ft befor I launch. Be sure to bring plenty of nitrous with you. I don't run nitrous but I hear it's kinda fun. You up for a friendly race??

Morehorsepower,
I like the ride of my DS better than I did the ride of my V, ... ESPECIALLY on the big jumps. And my V-Force had those Ohlins shocks on it before yours did, LOL. So I also know what I am saying when I say a stock DS takes jumps better than a V with Ohlins shocks, or Elka shocks for that matter, because I had Elka shocks on my V before switching to Ohlins. The Ohlins were a lot better than Elka, but a stock DS is better than any suspension on a V, at least when it comes to big jumps off of dunes.
I would have loved to have had that FST 800cc big bore kit on my V though. If I had known a good enough machinest to do the work for me down here in Cedar City I may have gone that route instead of switching to a DS. And I'll bet that waxing someone with a V-Force is worth every penny it cost. When I had my V-Force it seemed like EVERYONE wanted to hillshoot against me, because they would usually win. Having been able to stick it right back in their face would have truely been "priceless". Still, I don't think I would have waxed Majorecho and his Turbo DS, even with high compression lug nuts. yes i would like to run a friendly race with you even after reading Outerlimits post ( turbo ) . But it will have to wait till i get my motor back together cant stay off that button!
Outerlimit
glad you are liking the DS. sure miss you on the kawieriders , your posts are some of the best. As for the the racers at sand mountain they dont want to waste their time on another V i have to call them out . looking to get up with you this fall at the dunes.

Khen- on the valley side it runs up the hill in 5th. I've seen some very impressive Ex's on the hill, if the bikes paid for and you still like it than dump your $ into the motor. If your iffy on keeping it than start looking around, the DS is really detuned out of the box and will only pull 3rd part of the way and then you have to drop into 2nd. Very comfortable - you can ride it all day with out getting sore. The rotax engine is 2nd to none.
Morehorsepower,
I'll be down a few times this fall.
Outerlimits,
I knew I was missing more mods in my sig I sure I'm running some of those high comp lug nuts too!

Hey Predatorkickass, thats y in another thread i saw you posting something about motor problems along with a few other people have motor problems w/ their predator? Got back from the oregon dunes last week and rode 400 miles in 7 days of hard duning. Had a great time and not a single problem like usual w/ the DS(never had a problem with all the DS's i have owned over the last 4 years)
I believe the DS is the best 4 stroke dune quad for big guys. All the little punk's the pesky 450's are good for them but when i get on a 450 or raptor it feels like a kids quad to me(i am 6'1 250lbs)
