Default Death at Jericho, Utah? Anyone there this weekend?

Rumor has it there was a death here Friday of a 12 year old. Sure hope its a rumor and not a fact. So do you think a death would make the hill racers sport helmets??? Nope! Dumazz clowns! It was a little hot Saturday, not a lot of fast rides. A 450y drag bike was fast. There was a kid on a black and with green flames shee kicking azz on the left side of the mountain (he's my brother in law and the little bastard kicks me too!!)

We were at St.Anthonys on Saturday every year there are several deaths at St.Anthonys. You think people would get a clue but more than half the people that we saw were not wearing helmets. It was only about 75 degrees and not uncomfortable. I am always amazed how many people ride without helmets. Some of them at scary fast speeds to. I won't let my kids ride without helmet, boots and chest gear. $500 dollar fine for no flag but no requirement for helmets. Makes sense don't it?

The boy was 11 yrs old and it happend on Friday. The news said some type of wreckless driving. I think they were saying from the other vehicle. Rumor has it was a rail. Call the BLM at the dunes they will tell you.. His pic and name are in Sundays obituaries.. We were there yesterday.

That just breaks my heart to hear. If a negligent rail driver killed my kid I'm afraid there'd be a body count. Big weekend coming too, everybody try and be safe!

This is one of the reasons I don't go to the drags in Glamis, etc anymore.... I've seen so many close calls...and now that my wife and daughter are with me...it's not worth the chance of someone losing control of a bike or sandrail and having them get injured or killed.

It was an 11 y/o and his uncle from California in a sandrail. The kid was wearing a helmet along with a 5 point harness when the rail went end over end he was ejected because the harness failed. Sad story as it was the first fatal accident this year according to the paper.

That is very sad. I didn't hear anything in the central valley area of California. Usually, something like that hit's the air waves in Sacramento, if it happens to a family from this area. Very sad.
