Default Dunefest ?

Any one know how they will be running Dunefest this year. I want to get my reservations in if they are going to be reasonable with the rules. The website say's 'new information coming soon', but it has been saying that for awhile. Any insiders?

This year will be much different than b4. The biggest question that always seems to crop up is the one regarding alcohol. This year, the existing dune limits that are in place on any given weekend are all that will be enforced. So, if having the occasional drink after a hard day of riding is your thing, then make sure you research where it is permitted so you can pick the right campsite. But bear in mind, no drinking has ever been permitted in any riding areas and that will be strictly enforced. As for the other more fun stuff, we are setting up a mx this year along with the ASDA drags. We are trying to sign up an ATV stunt exhibition team also. There will be various giveaways, raffles, treasure hunts and a showbike competition to name a few events. Race winners will have a moment to shine because they will receive their trophies on a stage this time (maybe even a trophy girl or two for photo ops-and in all fairness to the winning ladies, a trophy guy possibly???). Don't shoot me on that issue, I'm still trying to figure out how to be PC and still have a race atmosphere. We also plan to have music and a beer garden too. All of this is still in the planning stages but I hope this helps a little. The website will be out in a couple weeks. Hope to see you there.

Thanks for the update. Looks like a go again this year now that they are being more reasonable. Shoot, I think I will take the Sportsman with me again in case that rocket bike breaks again.

Bump
Anything new on the Dunefest. The website is still not showing the info for this year and it's starting to get close. With the lead time folks need to arrange vacations, it may be too late to make Dunefest 2005 'bigger and better'. Anybody?

We should have the site updated by next week or soon after. A few technical difficulties with the permit before it's official. Stand by to stand by. Sorry.

Thanks for the update. I'll keep my eye out. I hope it works out that we get to see you and your rocket again this year.

You will and it's bigger and noisier this year. I have a grudge match against the TVI Stroker 800 Turbo and needed more boost. See ya there!
