Looks like we will have a large group, mostly chatters from ATV Connection this year at Glamis. Aprox 30 people from as far away as Wisconsin.
We will be camped at the Ogilby camping area, join us if you want to! Let me know if you need directions.

RoostKing,
Take I8 to the Ogilby Rd. exit and go north for about 4 miles to the railroad tracks. Take a left on the dirt Rd just before the R/R Tracks (DO NOT CROSS THE TRACKS!) Follow that road for about 4 miles until you see the radio tower. From there the road opens up into a large open area with a few scattered bushes. Our camp will be about 500 yards due west from the tower and about 50 yards north.(Big "L" shape) The easiest thing's to look for is a red and white Ford near a Weekend Warrior trailer and an older Chevy Suburban (dark blue) connected to a Weekend Warrior type trailer.
As for tips, buy a camel back! Bring chap stick and lots of extra gas!

Why are you camping out at Ogilby RD? If you haven't noticed Ogilby will be part of the closure starting on the 22 of this month. Your better off camping at Gordon's Well or Up in Glamis itself. For the latest info on the closure go to www.glamisonline.org

We go to Ogliby simply so we can sleep at night, seems to be less people there.

It's still up in the air as to how the BLM/Rangers are going to enforce the dune closures. Please obey whatever policy the have in place or we will loose all the dunes!

Wow you must have dug deep to find this 2 year old topic!
E-mail me and I can help you out.
What kind of area do you want to camp in? Crazy party scene or somewhere where you can actually sleep?
We will have a good sized group out there at Tday, let me know if you want to camp with us. I can give you the full tour
