OK, I have a 2 week old 2003 Raptor and live 1 hour from Lil Sahara and plan on going there every weekend. What would be the best paddle tires that I could buy and money isn't a problem so price can either be high or low but doesnt matter... I just want the best tires that will work awesome on my raptor oh and is it true that V-Blade is a lot better off for the raptor than a straight edge? Thanx for an info!!

I've got 22x11x8 Haulers on mine they rock. All though I've never ridden on with the V's. They are 8 paddles also. They do everything that I like to do and that is just shoot the hill!!!!!!!!

 

i would think the 22" haulers would work good but you might want to take a trip and see what the other raptors are running. that way you won't end up with a set of tires you don't like. say like geckos.

 

20" 8 paddle extreme haulers would probably work well also. The 22" tires give a little more height but also gear you up quite a bit which is not what the Raptor needs - it is geared a little high to start with for the sand. These are straight paddles and I really, really, really think these would serve you better than V paddles but that's a matter of opinion.

 

I have a set of 9 paddle 20x10x10 Scat trak edges and a set of 8 paddle 20x10x8 Haulers and like the haulers a lot better on the Raptor.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

With the 22x11x10 Extremes, would you need to go up a couple teeth in the rear?

Anyone have a comment on these setups?

22x11x10 Extreme 9 paddle
20x10x10 Extreme 8 paddle
21x12x8 Extreme ?

has anyone seen where you can get 22x11x8 Haulers xtream haulers? i can't find them anywhere but have seen a set at the coast..... thx!

I run V-paddles on my Raptor and Q-racer. They just seem to slide and turn better than the straight ones I've ridden, and I think the acceleration difference is tiny if measurable. One thing you might also look into is the razorback-style (like Dunetracker) front tires on offset rims. You can widen your front by a few inches this way, making your rig more stable. I've ridden a Raptor with these and really liked it---I'm getting some for mine. Rocky Mountain ATV will set you up.

 

i need paddels also for my raptor and ive seen a couple with 18" sand shark paddels on dougles rims. it looked like they were hookin up pretty good. would that be a good choice to go with?
