i have a 2002 suzuki eiger 400 and was looking to put on the hmf penland exaust slip on do i have to buy a jet kit or can i just put the exaust on and ride?

 

Generally you have to jet your ATV when you add an exhaust. If you don't you will not be running it at its optimum power, and it would run lean which could cause damage. HMF should have a recommendation for a jet to use on their website. Go to Jets R Us JETSRUS and buy that jet and several below and several above it in size and you will have what you need. Sometimes their recommendation is a little off so its good to pick up a couple different sizes just in case.
