Hey All, i am new to this forum, and it seems to be great so far. My question is i am looking to buy a used Utility quad, and i'm looking to spend as much as $4,500. I currently have a Honda 400ex but want a utility, basically, what are the best u-quads? I would like to plow with it as well, and i'm a big guy so i would need a 650 or 750! Let me know what you think! thanks

The best quad for the money is the one that fits YOU best meaning there are a bunch of different quads with different options for different riding styles, you just have to find the one that fits YOUR needs. And for 4500 you wont find much above the 500 class 4x4 machines used and if you do there are going to be well ridden! Good luck let us know what you find.

A nice used Sportsman or Rincon. The Rincon 680 has the same HP as the Sportsman 500. Both can be found for less than the $4500 mark. If you want real power the Sportsman 800 will be perfect. You should be able to fine a clean 07-08 for that price. I purchased a 08 in March of 09 with 100 miles on it for $5100.- I have owned all of the above and have put at least 900 trail miles on each unit.
Best of luck.
Best of luck.

Ive never understood this. Unless you literally weigh half a ton its a pointless statement.
The average adult male in the US weights 190lbs. Im not sure what you consider a big guy.....but I consider myself a big guy at 320lbs and 6ft 4in.
Even my 200cc Honda utility ATV pulls my extra weight around just fine. My son who weighs 100lbs, my girlfriend at 160lbs and my friend at 250lbs.......all ride the ATV and it doesnt perform noticeably better or worse between riders. In fact I go faster and get further with it - likely because I know how to ride it.
Its not like the thing will only go 15mph and get stuck in wet grass just cause Im a tubby bastard. All the ATVs I have are geared well enough that the ATV doesnt even notice that extra 100+ lbs.....and thats the case with all the utility ATVs Ive ridden.
