Default Hatfield McCoy trails

Just booked my second trip down there and have been thinking about it everyday. May 7th can't come soon enough. Last trip down there was June 2008. Can't wait to crusie into Gilbert fill-up, stop and eat and then grab a case of beer and head back to camp all on my quad. Of course no drinking and driving.

We always stay at the The Depot Lodge in Man. Great accomodations, right on the river in town, close to everything, only a mile from the Rockhouse trailhead and about a 30 min ride, haulin a$$ to Bearwallow trailhead by ATV. Talk to Terry, he own the Rockhouse lodge and depot and he can tell you all the great place's to ride and all the local trail's outside of HM. The place is endless.

Good Times.

I'm looking at making my first trip to H&M this summer. I'm planning on taking the family and have a 14 and 13 year old. They ride a 250 and 325cc ATV's. I hear that they can not ride there unless they ride a much smaller ATV. They are just to big (not heavy just tall) to ride a small ATV -- not save because it would tip over easy also with the high center of grivity. Anyone taking kids there on mid size ATV's?

I stayed at the mountain Breeze motel (Gilbert) the first time, great place.

This time we are staying at the Twin Hollow Camp ground, wanted something different, hopefully rain will stay away since we are tenting it.

Trail rules specify that the operator of the ATV must meet manufactures requirements. I agree seeing a 15 year old on a 125cc is ridiculious, one more year and they can ride anything they want.
