Gonna have to fill the motorcycle up tonight. Probably be over 10 bucks. But compared to the 28 gallons the truck holds, I can deal with it.

my diesel has a 40 gallon tank............

i know we've had this discussion before, but there are other items we buy per gallon that are more expensive than fuel. it's just we don't buy bulk in those items. just fuel....start calculating those items and it'll **** you off

But we also don't use those other items to power our cars and trucks. You don't go through 4 gallons of peanutbutter to get to work and back, at least I don't.

we actually get a lot of bang for our buck, or at least i do, when you calculate how much work you get out of a gallon of fuel. is it easier to use the old timey squirrel cage mower on your yard, a yo-yo on your yard, or push/drive a gasoline powered mower? 1 gallon of gasoline lasts a "weed eater" a long time and gets a lot of work done, correct? yeah i understand about the peanut butter comment, truly i do. but to move a 5,000 lb vehicle up and down hills at 70 mph requires work. admit it, i don't know what you drive, or what you pull your quads with, but if you want something stylish, or a big pick up truck, or whatever, you are willing to pay the price, right? i wanted a diesel, so i bought a diesel, and i somewhat begrudgingly pay for the diesel i burn. yeah, i wished it was cheaper. heck, last report i saw on middle east gasoline prices was $0.30/gallon, because they can keep it cheap for their citizens, and maximize profits off of us, because the current resident of the white house doesn't like drilling.........just go back to the paydays they get everyday from fuel taxes......

I drive a 2005 F350 4X4 Crew Cab, V10, 9 mpg.
I didn't buy it for the fuel economy, I bought it to haul my camper and trailer.

You guys with diesels could start doing the veggie fuel. Not sure about the newer trucks, Mines a 2001 cummins. (pre-emissions and sensors BS and reluctant to buy a new one) Last time it got into the $3.00-$4.50 a gallon I started doing it. It's time consuming and a pain not to mention it smells like driving past a nasty burger joint all the time, but better than $120-$150 a week to fill my truck. I may start again soon.

I'm sure not putting home brew in my diesel and there aren't any local stations...and even then I'd want to do some research before using them.
