what's too young- for a child to ride 2-up?

These people don't know how to drive a rut. You take the route that will leave your quad level as you go up or down a trail like this, even if it means you scrape the skid plates going off the foot high ledge to do it. The worst thing to do is let one side get down in a rut. Couple that with going up or down the hill and you're asking to tip.
instead of letting the atv work the trail at the end- the kid hits the brake, then lets go of the brake and the bars losing control and allowing the atv to roll up the bank... then he hits the brake again losing his center of gravity.
like moose said above- I would've just stayed to the right instead of the left like everyone else was doing- slid my body to the back of the seat and let the outty's engine brake & suspension work it's magic over the rock- keeping the atv as level as I can

notice how much the yamaha grizz's suspension leans- they are way too soft from the factory- comfortable ride on the straights, but they corner like an overloaded f-150.
and, the camera man needs to be smacked for not filming the rollover!
never put the camera down!!!
