What if the previous owner said the atv ran great? And she herself owned it only for a month or so. And i put around 2 miles on it and the motor pretty much blew.. same story?

Same story.. Just give it up and move on. I made a similar mistake when I traded a very clean street bike for a dirt bike when I was about 18. Chalk it up as one of life's lessons learned.

Also you said you took it for a test ride then purchased it. You own it. Its yours. End of story. Sorry it turned out like it did, but it is a private sale with no warranty implied.

I know you're looking for a lifeline here but there just isn't one. The Grizzly 660 I owned previously had a lot of problems. I'm pretty sure the previous owner abused the crap out of it. Fortunately I did buy it pretty cheap so when I traded it in, I got most of my money back, minus all the repairs of course. It did kinda sour me on buying off craigslist unless its a dealer listing. Or something really cheap so the risk is minimal. Its no guarantee you won't get a lemon buying used from a dealer but your chances are much better. The dealer doesn't want their reputation tainted by selling used crap.

You might get lucky, who knows. Its a definite long shot to get any money out of the previous owner.

Good luck with that, but I don't see anything good coming from it. Possibility of you owing even more when it's done.

It's a classic case of he said/she said. The only one I see benefiting from this is your lawyer. Her lawyer too if she hires one.
