Only other thing I'm worried about with the Honda is my wife will want to ride with me a lot on the trails and I'm worried a solid axle will be too rough on her.

 

After reading about all the isues with the electronic shift The Honda is out. If the sportsman 700 is in as good of shape as the owner explains it will be coming home with me. I've spent about 3 hours talking to the gentleman that owns it and he really knows the machine. Used to be a polaris tech for 7 years.

 

Well, it sounds like you have found a good seller of a good machine at a good price. If it does follow you home, tell us all about it.

Well it all sounds good with the 700. Hope that's the case.

I talked to the owner of the honda more and he said he bought it from a guy who did a lot of mud bogging and sold this quad to him when he upgraded. He used it for just deer hunting. Something about it just doesn't feel right. Plus I'd have all the hassle of re-titling the thing just so I can ride on state ground.

 

The 700 came home with me tonight. There are a couple things here and there that I'll take care of but nothing that need immediate attention. I will probably be looking into new tires before winter comes. I was able to talk him down another $200 and get him to throw in ramps and a sprayer. I've been looking at the Kenda Bear Claw HTRs. All the reviews look to be good.
