Default 84 200 Big Red ATC - No Spark....

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums. I inherited a 200 Big Red from my uncle a few years back after some people stole some parts off it while he was away. They ended up cutting the CDI unit off at the plug, the regulator, Ignition, as well as the winch that was mounted onto it. I had got a regulator from a buddy, a CDI unit with connector and my buddy bypassed the ignition for me. It ran one time after we got all that sorted out and ran fine everything appeared to work until I put it in rewind to back it into the garage and she quit on me. That being said, I've been stumped this very day on what could be wrong. Now today I purchased a complete donor bike that had the top-end gone ($250.00 awesome shape). I was told that bike ran til he took the top end off to repair it but then decided to sell. So I decided to take the wiring harness off of it and swap onto mine. I did that, swapped coils, CDI unit as well as regulator and I'm still not getting any spark. There is no battery in my bike but I'm just pulling the pull cord in order to check spark. I don't even get a shock holding a screwdriver in the boot. Can someone give some input on what my problem is? Some people say it could be the stator... how hard is it to change that? The weird thing is, is it all shut down when I switched it in reverse (about 2 years ago). Also, those 2 yellow wires that come from the stator, does it matter what what matching yellow wire they go to, to the CDI unit... because ironically, the new bike had the connector cut off... so I spliced to my stator. Hope to hear from people soon. Also, I still have no ignition so if someone could explain how I can bypass it... Thanks.

just a silly question, but what position is the kill switch in, or is it punched?
