I am looking to buy a ATV. I am not sure which atv is right for me though . My two choices right now would be either the rancher 350 4x4 or the rancher ES 2x2. by the way they will be the new 2004 models. I would like any advice anyone will give. thank you very much.

If you have money to spend wait for the rancher at to come out. It has traxlock(ability to change from 2x4 to 4x4) more cc's, and looks good too. But if you want to buy used the rancher is a great quad. To tell if you should get 2x4 or 4x4 we will really need to know what kind of riding you are gonna do.

i was thinking about your name and it reminded me of something. about 2 weeks ago i was going to buy a 2000 300ex. it had fmf megamax2 pipe, jet kit,k&n air filter, lever skins, sixpack rack, and in exelent condition. the guy wanted 3,000 for it. so he apparently never went to get a title for it when he bought it from the original owner. when he went to get the title the bank told him that he couldnt have the title because the original owner in 2000 never paid the quad off. Do you know of anyway to clear this up ? ooo yeah i forgot. it has brand new mudshark rear tires.

Hey wild, I think the 2wd Rancher is probably the best choice, I have seen how much mud they can go through, and they are so much "sportier" and more fun than the 4x4. In fact less than a year ago I bought a brand new 2wd Rancher ES and have had so much fun on it, I did never want anyone to ride it incase they would scratch it or get it dirty, it has NEVER seen mud or water and NEVER been driven recklessly, but a couple weeks ago I decided that I wanted to get into my own shop and become an atv mechanic, so I need the money to buy tools, and have decided to sell the Rancher If your interested I bought it for $4800 and it only has 200 miles and on its third tank of gas, it comes with a 3 year extended warranty, it is in brand new "mint" condition and I am willing to deliver part of the way,I live in MN, I am selling it for 3,995 obo,and have had lots of calls already, I am including an atv lift if sold for 3995, and a cover at any price, Just think of the mods or tires you could put on with the money you save

You can reply or send a privat message, I can send you pictures if you want, sorry for the long post,

Later,

Mark

If your running in mud/water that high and going through ruts four feet deep then you definatly want to get the 4x4 model...it might not be as "sporty" but it doesn't sound like your gonna need that in your trails....if you get the 4x4 you can always get the warn unlocker..where as if you realize you need 4wd on a 2wd..your screwed.

J/W but what put four foot ruts in your trails ?....water...?
