Luke,
I have had my Rancher 350FE just four days. Have been riding every day in 20 degree weather with about 8-10 inches of snow. The Rancher goes anywhere in this amount of snow. The electric shift is great! My buddy has a Kawasaki with automatic. The electric shift beats the automatic by a mile. By that I mean I enjoy actually shifting through the gears. The automatic just has high and low range with reverse. All you do is put it in gear and hit the gas. It gets you there but not much fun.
Anyway, go for it. I think the Honda Rancher is well worth the bucks.

I've had mine for a week and its great, rode this past weekend for 52 miles, its the sportest 4x4 i ever rode including the wolverine, its great in the snow with the electric shift and the ground clearance. This weekend the only bike i couldnt beat up hills in 12 inches of new snow was the 500 sportsman man that bike can climb.
