I want a more ground clearence and a higher top speed for my recon. Since they don't make a lift kit for the recon my easiest way out is tires. Would 25 inch tires fit on my recon? They don't make rear tires smaller than that other than 22inch. so can someone help me?

I'd think when you pushed the shocks down they would rub. You'll definetly have some more top speed, but you won't have enough engine to pull it.If you do go with 25in open up the airbox, get a K&N filter, and some type of high performance muffler.

I already have a k&n airfilter, supertrap ids2 muffler and head pipe, dynojet kit, new spark plug, and k&n outerwears prefilter.

I went up to 24's on my Recon, before I traded it in, and contrary to popular belief It could still pull it's self and a lot more.

Well, if 24 is pushing it, then I need to get some good mud tires for the rear, 23 inch. I really don't want to modify the fenders.

My friend has 25" on the rear and 22" up front on a 1989 250 Yamaha Moto4 and has no trouble turning them at all so I can't see why the Recon would be any different. The larger wheels helped his traction alot.
