New Rancher AT
They showed up at our dealer today.Really nice looking, the fit and finish is really good. I really like the yellow ! We should be running one up tomorrow-I hope I am considering buying one for myself.
The one thing the really stands out is the new air box-Honda added to the air box -now the box comes out to the right rear wheel - Kind of different.
I am interested in knowing top speed !

I'm also really curious about the top speed. If the top speed isn't much better than a Foreman 450 then I might just buy a 2003 450 for less money. I would rather have a semi-auto anyway. (Foreman has a higher retail price but I could get a 2003 450 for around $5300. before tax and stuff.)

New Rancher AT
Rode a new Rancher AT today, very nice. Looks like a Rincon and the gas tank is wider than the 03 Ranchers, bigger tank. It runs great. Jumps from a dead stop. “Geared” like the 03 Ranchers, really low first, which it starts out in and then shifts from there. The ESP mode shifts the same as a Rubicon, which to me is the best thing about the Rubicon, the transmission. No low range, but like the 03, its first gear is low. A lot more power, more bottom end than the 03. Never had the chance to top it out. Dirt Wheels says it tops out quickly, more bottom end. Honda claims a 20% increase in torque and a 10% invcrease in HP, it felt like more to me.
Trax-lok works great, 4-wd any time, any speed, no clunk, click or anything, just the green 4-wd light. This one had no GPS, which I would definitely get. Has no problem sliding.
If I rode our 02 Rancher 4X4 ES all the time, I would be trading it in tomorrow, but our Rancher is for the kids and it is just fine, and paid for.
I was impressed and it is just what I thought it would be from earlier descriptions. It is going to be a very capable trail machine and FUN to ride. Saw the red one and a yellow one. Ride Red.
